【Design Concept】
Set against a creamy white base, the space blends modern minimalism with graceful curves to create a warm, simple living environment. An open-plan layout allows the living and dining areas to connect seamlessly with the study room, enabling sightlines and natural light to flow freely throughout the interiors. Curved ceilings and walls act as soft transitions, dissolving sharp structural angles and introducing a sense of movement within an orderly composition. This approach creates a tranquil yet laid-back atmosphere.
【Functionality】
In the entryway, mirrored surfaces are key to expanding spatial perception. By reflecting elements, they extend sightlines and create visual continuity, making the space feel larger without any physical expansion. The curved turn of the accent wall, paired with a recessed display niche, creates a transitional buffer that naturally guides the traffic flow. Given the purity of the color palette, subtle layering is introduced through the interplay of linear divisions and light strips, adding a sense of lightness within a minimalist framework. The main wall integrates storage, display, and functional elements. Its geometric forms, open-cut sections, and curved edges keep the space crisp and composed while avoiding a plain or static feel. Finer details play a key role in shaping the space. The desk, supported by glass legs, reduces visual weight and maintains an airy feel.
【Innovation and Challenges】
A low structural beam spans across the TV wall and above the sofa. If wrapped conventionally, it would compromise ceiling height and create a sense of compression. Instead, a large-scale curve seamlessly connects the beam with the ceiling, redefining visual flow and transforming the structural mass into a design feature. Warm wood finishes are paired with soft indirect lighting, significantly enhancing visual warmth and comfort.
