A house carrying a family of three generations should be not only a cradle for a better future but also a shared living space filled with beautiful memories of the past. The project is a transparent house for three generations. With glass sliding doors, screens, and wooden grilles as the definition of the space, this project is a house designed for the family members of three different generations. Through flexible partitioning, the designer has successfully increased the interactions between family members while maintaining privacy for each individual. The use of wood and stone is integrated with leather, metal, and iron to create a stylish urban residential aesthetic. The large foyer is implemented with indirect lights from the wall recesses, and the horizontal and vertical lines create a streamlined spatial aesthetic. Looking through the glass door, the sense of transparency extends the view and welcomes visitors indoors. Entering the tea-tasting area, one will find the cabinets and furniture pieces made of raw wood. They are used to entertain the guests to experience the traditional tea culture and the idea of Zen. The living room is divided by white floor tiles, while leather sofas and marble coffee tables are used to outline the contemporary texture. Opening the iridescent glass folding doors, one will enter the dining and kitchen area with intertwined white, brown, and black. On the other hand, the metallic lighting drapes elegantly over the dining table, adding a touch of luxury. Besides, the kitchen is decorated with black and gray tones, showing a sophisticated, stylish, and spontaneous vibe. The secondary living room continues the indirect lighting ceiling design, and the linear elements are displayed in a plain and simple color scheme, creating a chic and neat style.
