Eschewing excessive decoration, the design unfolds a narrative through decorative paint finishes and color blocks, enriching the space with vitality and depth.

This 30-year-old, 138-sqm abode has been gracefully reimagined into an American-style home with 3 bedrooms, 2 living areas, and 2 bathrooms. The design attends to spatial attributes while resonating with the owner's personality and lifestyle. Emphasis is placed on openness, flow of movement, and the harmonious relationship between materials and natural light, aiming to foster family interaction and human-space dialog.

Besides tackling the pre-existing issues of poor natural lighting, ventilation, and dated decor, the design takes into account the home's functionality for the next 15 years and beyond. Sustainability is also a key, with low-VOC, F1-rated materials and eco-friendly paints used throughout, prioritizing well-being of the residents.

In addition to structural reinforcement and layout adjustments, the design highlights the dynamism of light. The reflective attribute of titanium sheet serves to induce natural light while visually elevating the living space ceiling, addressing the limitations of the flat’s elongated layout. The organic interplay between circulation, light, and transparency creates a sense of openness and interconnection throughout. The private spaces continue this vibe of elegance, with carefully chosen materials and proportions that provide a light-hearted, exclusive experience. Wainscoting panels gracefully adorn the bedrooms, creating a tranquil, soothing atmosphere for moments of relaxation.
