The South Tainan Station, built in 1943, is a train station that retains its traditional Japanese architectural design while incorporating modern architectural elements, such as exposed concrete, combining both modern design and sustainability principles. The station utilizes large amounts of natural light and open space in its design. The building features extensive glass structures that allow ample sunlight to fill the station’s hall, which not only helps conserve energy but also provides passengers with a bright and comfortable waiting area.
