This project concerns the interior design of a private residence that adheres to the concept of “people-oriented” by taking into account the homeowner's preferences and needs during space planning. The owner has a predilection for cool black, yet desires a warm atmosphere in the home. As a result, the designer has focused on not only the black and gray color scheme, but also on selecting coatings and wood that can maintain a sense of warmth. This approach effectively reconciles the seemingly disparate natures of cool black and warmth. The overall residential space adopts a modern and minimalist style, featuring a simple and clean layout, and geometric lines for embellishment. The designer aimed to create an aesthetically pleasing and practical home environment.
The entryway of the interior space uses easy-to-clean tiles as the flooring material, which makes it easier for the homeowner to maintain a clean and hygienic environment. The hexagonal tiles with different colors and patterns create a lively and layered look while also distinguishing it from the wooden floor in the living room. Furthermore, the design of the flooring without any height difference reduces the possibility of homeowners falling and getting hurt.
When you walk into the living room, you'll be surrounded by walls covered with a large amount of paint, creating a velvet-like texture. The soft lighting adds to the artistic texture, making the atmosphere cozy and inviting. The TV wall is trimmed with three grooves, giving it a clean visual impression. Additionally, the floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to enter the room, illuminating the entire shared living space.
Moving to the private area, one will notice that the bedroom continues the warm colors of the public area, creating a tranquil and stable atmosphere. At the head of the bed, you'll find two flexible gooseneck lamps whose goosenecks can be adjusted to change the angle of illumination according to the user's needs.
