The site is an old apartment. The name, "Summer in the Woods", reflects the core element of the design, wood, and signifies summer and new life. Based on the owner's preference, the design combines a Japanese country style with a subtle warmth. The core focus is on the simple aesthetics of natural wood tones and MUJI style while incorporating details.
To accommodate the owner's needs, the design retains the original two-room layout. The curved ceiling design reduces the sense of compression, while the walls are covered with specially selected paint to show the delicate texture. The designer used natural wood grain as the base and silk white to create a harmonious and sophisticated look to reflect the owner's pursuit of refined living and taste.
