The English architect Augustus W. N. Pugin, who is principally remembered for his pioneering role in the Gothic Revival style of architecture, once said, “In pure architecture, the smallest detail should have a meaning or serve a purpose. The design team has introduced the concept into the design of this architectural project, using a simple color scheme and detailed ingenuity to interpret a subtle and neat aesthetic. Given the proximity to the forest park and the future development of a mixed-use business model, the design team has blended the metropolitan lifestyle with the natural aesthetics to create a brand new and diversified urban landscape. With this initiative in mind, the design team has not only reversed the site’s original industrial image and turned this property into a glamorous apartment building where individuals aspire to reside, enjoy and settle down. As far as the exterior of the building is concerned, the designer adopts a soft beige color as the main color scheme of the structure, with gray walls and black grilles to decorate it. Looking at the front side of the building, one will realize that the design team has changed the appearance of the two outer buildings and the central building, cleverly using vertical and horizontal presentation techniques to create a unique visual experience. During the nighttime, the beauty of the building is outlined by the warm yellow light lines, and a little blue light is added to it, just like the stars shining in the night sky. The spatial planning of the building is done by reducing the building volume configuration, thus reducing the building shading rate and increasing the green space ecology. The building spacing is created to provide good indoor ventilation and lighting for each residence, as well as an excellent view of the landscape.
