Our design concept for the rebranding of a classic restaurant in Hong Kong, inspired by the Peony theme, is a stunning visual display that captures the warmth and elegance that the Peony represents. We drew inspiration from the Peony flower to create a design that reflects both Eastern and Western perspectives.

To bring the Peony to life in our design, we reconstructed the flower into different concepts and artworks, showcasing the diverse characters and formations of the flower. Our goal was to create a design that captured the warmth and familiarity of a traditional Chinese restaurant while showcasing the refinement and elegance that is synonymous with the Peony.

The use of the color red, derived from the signature Peony flower Buckeye Belle, is prominent in our design. It is juxtaposed with the skyline and striking bronze accents in the interior, creating a warm and inviting ambiance for the dining space. The rich shades of buckeye belle red, combined with the shades of grey from the upholstery and bronze-colored metallic partitions, set the perfect tone for the space.

In the main dining lobby, we created a stunning Peony-inspired ceiling feature that allows rays of sunlight to shift as the day passes by. This creates a visual display that is both soothing and inviting, adding to the overall ambiance of the space. The transitional movement surrounding the interior with warmth and light as customers pass through the corolla curves, creating an immersive experience that is both visually stunning and inviting.
