The project is a renovation of a pre-owned space over 30 years old. The space is not planned as a normal commercial space but as a child-friendly store. The design team uses tatami mats to turn the store into a space that adults and children would love. They also boldly adopt the elevated design with tatami mats to create a casual, relaxed feeling as if at home. Customers can easily and comfortably browse through the products.
The wood tone is warm, and the tatami mats bring a touch of fun to the space. In addition to the shelves, the space below the staircase displays some products that are not seasonal or non-main products. Moreover, the height of the shelves matches the height of the children, making it an exclusive showcase for them.
The space has a wood tone as the base. To add a different element to the interior, the design team uses architectural concrete for the counters and cut edges to weaken the sharpness of the corners.
