For this project, the designer uses the owner's favorite linear elements, earth tone paint, and metallic handle hardware to create a modern and simple American home style. The linear structure of the ceiling, walls, and cabinets creates a sense of clean lines, and the rich stacking of the panels adds to the liveliness and diversity of the space. The homeowners are a husband and wife and two daughters. The 126-square-metered house has six areas: an open living and dining room, kitchen, study, master bedroom, daughter's room, and game room. When entering the entrance through the door, the black and white floor tiles and the shoe cabinet designed with louvered grilles and lined panels, together with the owners' favorite art paintings and comfortable small sofas and coffee tables, make this space not only an entrance but also a quiet corner for solitude and reflection, allowing people to change their mood and welcome the important time with their family. Entering the open shared living space, one will notice that the living room is decorated with beige walls, white panels, and light-colored furniture. On the other side, the ceiling is designed with a height difference to separate the living room from the dining and kitchen areas. The curved cabinets and wall lamps next to the dining table provide a stylistic highlight to the space, while the black cabinetry and hardware create a sense of elegance and simplicity. The black-and-white color scheme creates a clean and simple visual effect. The glass doors that separate the dining and kitchen spaces provide a casual separation between the dining and kitchen areas. When the homeowner needs to cook, the glass door can be pulled up to block the grease and smoke; at ordinary times, the glass door can be stored away to allow a smooth and transparent route.
