The base is the highest school in Taiwan. This project is to renovate the outdoor corridor of the campus. The corridor served as a bulletin board, which was unsightly and obstructed the scenery of Li Mountain. The design team's core concept is to "broaden the horizon", aiming to bring people closer to nature and build up environmental awareness of sustainable forest resources through an open vision.
The corridor has a total length of 66 meters and is designed to be multifunctional. Its span is just right to look at the whole mountain scenery in the distance. The "grille reading area" provides shade and ventilation; the "natural observation deck" with transparent PVC handrails allows the mountain view to be unobstructed; and the raised "wooden floor area" preserves the original ecological system of the meadow and serves as an educational venue. The design team hopes to provide people with infinite memories, inspire temperament, and cultivate knowledge through various functions.
