"Love laid the foundation of this dwelling," the designer states, taking on revamping this 109-square-meter residence that has been cherished by the owner couple's family for nearly 30 years.

Situated atop the building, addressing leakage and summer heat became primary in the redesign, leading to enhanced waterproofing and insulation. Mindful of integrating existing furniture, the team opted for a restrained use of colors and materials paired with apposite negative space to ensure a seamless fuse of light and placements, enhancing overall spatial consistency.

The layout plays with proportions to unfold framed vistas within the area, using art paint with a robust stone-like texture and minimal decorations upon a neutral palette to accentuate the human aspect within a clear, composed environment. The setup of a window-side bench seating blends harmoniously with the lush landscape of the nearby Yang-Ming Mountain while offering picturesque street views.

Materials were carefully chosen for their brightness and airy qualities, with an emphasis on sustainable living through the use of LED lighting, low-formaldehyde panels, and eco-friendly paints. The space evolves into an organic, sensory architecture, encouraging a leisurely vibe through curated material selection and spatial planning, inviting residents into a multi-layered experience of serenity and cultural depth.
