The project entails the development of a private residential plan characterized by a blend of modern and European architectural styles. The design approach prioritizes the concept of "people-oriented" to curate a bespoke residential environment tailored to the residents' needs. Given the homeowner's background as a financier, the incorporation of Feng Shui principles into the spatial layout aims to usher in auspiciousness. To accommodate the substantial number of occupants, an open design methodology integrates the living room, dining room, and kitchen, fostering seamless living while optimizing spatial luminosity.
Upon entering the interior space, one will observe a departure from conventional dressing mirrors, as the area incorporates multiple decorative mirrors of diverse shapes to evoke a European artistic ambiance. The floor of this space is adorned with magnetic tiles, distinguishing it from the wooden flooring in the living room and featuring a difference in height to prevent potential tripping hazards when accessing the room. The entrance wall is adorned with warm, dark brown veneer, complementing the black, white, and grey color scheme of the living room while creating a visually rich sense of layering.
The living room initially featured a door on each side of the TV wall, resulting in a cluttered and confined visual appearance. To mitigate this, a concealed design approach was adopted, utilizing the same material for the two doors and the TV wall to establish a seamless and spacious spatial impression. In consideration of the owner's daughter's fondness for playing the piano, the designer employed pure white for the back wall of the sofa, accentuated with black straight lines to emulate the keys of a piano. Furthermore, space was allocated for a piano adjacent to the sofa, culminating in the customization of a captivating and inviting home environment for the inhabitants.
