In the wake of the post-epidemic era, there is a discernible surge in the demand for social and artistic engagements. In response, the project endeavors to establish an avant-garde gallery, characterized by its vivid and futuristic aesthetic, designed to captivate a substantial audience and aficionados of the arts. This initiative seeks to furnish a novel forum for interpersonal communication and interaction, while concurrently acting as a catalyst for the rejuvenation of the arts and culture sector. Moreover, it aspires to play a pivotal role in the restoration of social bonds and economic sectors in the post-epidemic milieu.
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic broke out globally, deeply affecting many industries. This led to operational challenges for many arts and culture organizations and performance venues. To rejuvenate the industry, our team has decided to create a new gallery to attract a large number of visitors. The goal is to provide new performance spaces for arts organizations and establish a platform for community exchange, ultimately restoring the arts industry to its former glory and creating a cultural landmark and a source of inspiration for the local community.
The project offers a unique approach to traditional gallery spaces by serving as a venue for arts and cultural performances and as a space for community gatherings and charity. This enhances the flexibility and diversity of its use. To provide visitors with a distinct gallery experience, the central spatial axis is highlighted with a bold red, encouraging people to explore the space thoroughly. Additionally, translucent white glass walls and light grey paving balance the color scheme and prevent oppressiveness. The white film glass wall is highly resistant to impact and explosions, enhancing the safety of the space. The glass film effectively reduces heat, allowing the space to stay cool without relying on air conditioning, resulting in energy savings and reduced carbon emissions.
