The project was a residential planning project aimed at addressing the homeowner's specific needs. The original layout was found to be inadequate for the homeowner's lifestyle and preferences, prompting the team to undertake a complete reorganization of the space. Notable changes included reconfiguring the master bedroom to expand the living room area and transforming the secondary bedroom into a functional study. These modifications were executed to create a more spacious and comfortable public space for the homeowner and his family. Furthermore, the team paid special attention to enhancing the storage capacity of the space to accommodate the homeowner's extensive book and wine collection. The overall design concept revolved around using a predominantly low-saturated color palette to cultivate a warm and inviting living atmosphere in the home.
In the carefully designed interior space, the creative use of contrasting black and white hexagonal floor tiles alongside warm wooden flooring elegantly demarcates the entrance and communal areas. Moving further into the living room, a thoughtfully placed partition separates the master bedroom, resulting in an expanded, open space without sacrificing functionality. The integration of an open, diagonal design seamlessly connects the living room with the dining and kitchen areas, offering a smooth flow of movement and establishing an inviting and spacious activity area for the homeowner's family. Given the absence of external windows in this central location of the house, the team's choice of gray glass as the partition material creates a luminous and airy visual effect. Additionally, the strategic inclusion of storage solutions such as overhead cabinets, iron shelves, and display units in various areas including the entrance, living room, kitchen, study, and corridor, reflects a comprehensive approach to meeting the homeowner's diverse storage requirements.
