Every family has unique personality and soul, which is often closely related to the preferences and experiences of the owners.
This case is a co-creation with the owner, who loves architecture, with great artistic aesthetics, and extreme requirements for construction. This sincerity and professionalism is a very exciting challenge for us.
At the beginning of the conception, we tried colonnade, arch ticket and other design languages with strong sense of form and commemoration, but we always felt that any modeling treatment was too deliberate and lacked the nature and casualness.
After careful consideration, many novelty-seeking and trend-following ideas were abandoned, we began to do subtraction constantly, so that the design could return to the essence of the home, caring for people and daily life.
We opened a bedroom facing south and transformed it into a family library as a good place for parents and children to read, play the piano, discuss and study together with Finn Juhl's wall-mounted bookshelf and long table.
The living room is designed as a tatami platform. The modular sofa is flexible by sitting, lying, watching movies and jumping, which is the most relaxing corner in the home.
We built a small attic in the daughter's room.  You can drill into the doorway, climbe the ladder and enter the secret base of the childhood. Then you can slid down to the room through the rotating slide, just like the owner's wish: I hope my daughter can maintain lovely for years!
Just like after putting aside all stubborn and distracting thoughts, space presents the cleanest state: Minimalist, warm, simple and pure.
Sunshine and green plants are companions in the space, where the classic furniture and contemporary art integrated with each other. Everything is just right in natural and relaxed atmosphere.
Less is more. Fortunately, we have also found the right path.
