The site is an old apartment. The name, “Kyoto Vibe”, comes from its Japanese wabi-sabi style. Inspired by the Japanese wabi-sabi style, the designer pursues a minimalistic and restrained aesthetic, reinterpreting the space with a downshifting lifestyle. Traditional materials allow every detail to be natural and refined. The project also integrates modern technology and humanism, aiming to enhance the comfort and taste of the occupants and to create an aesthetic of serenity and harmony.
The focus is on enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of the social and private areas. In the social area, low beams are trimmed with wood grain and curved shapes, and penetration and air circulation are enhanced to eliminate oppression, improve openness, and further mobility. Private areas such as the master bedroom and dressing room are fitted with glass tiles to maximize natural light and maintain privacy. Exquisite hidden doors extend the vision and show delicacy and sophistication.
