The site is an empty apartment, named "Meeting of Longing" to reflect the connection between the space and the owner. The name signifies two things: the space mirrors the owner's deep affection for his hometown, and his hospitable nature, often inviting friends for gatherings. With these two aspects in mind, the designers incorporated the expansive views from the windows into the space. The mountains and rivers became integral elements of the design. The textures and tones of natural materials like stone and wood flooring enhance the indoor and outdoor harmony. Techniques like mixed-material junctions and indirect lighting create a sense of depth.
The designers installed sliding doors to increase flexibility and accommodate the client’s frequent entertaining needs. The master bedroom includes a concealed walk-in closet for privacy. The use of eco-friendly materials and non-toxic paints underscores the building's commitment to sustainability and environmental friendliness. The building is not just a living space but also a vessel for storytelling.
