The allure of spatial design lies in uncovering myriad possibilities through reimagining. Sometimes, it's as subtle as a slight shift in the axis or a repositioning of the space. Through thoughtful simulation and precise planning of everyday living scenarios, countless imaginative surprises emerge!

In an 18-year-old, 66 square meters old house, every original space felt cramped and poorly lit, unable to meet practical living needs. Therefore, we relocated the living room to not only maximize natural light but also, due to the axis shift, incorporated curved walls as partitions. This clever adjustment created space for a guest room and a walk-in closet!

The overall design concept draws inspiration from Mondrian’s paintings, constructing the scene through dots, lines, and planes to present a minimalist and natural visual effect in communal areas. Echoing Mondrian’s horizontal and vertical lines, combined with simple color blocks and proportionate divisions, this is reflected in cabinet separations, back wall of the sofa, doors, and prep counter walls.

The variation in ceiling heights and the soft curves of design blend harmoniously with flowing lines of curved walls. Inspired by domed ceilings of European architecture, the arched ceiling design echoes the walls, enhanced by the subtle application of special paints that amplify its cohesive aesthetic and timeless elegance.

Carefully crafted circular aperture in the ceiling, resembling a precise and deliberate opening, not only conceals pipework but also introduces a skylight-like glow. This design element subtly illuminates the space, while perfectly complementing circular dining table below, creating a balanced and refined visual rhythm.
