1 - The guiding concept of this project, and how does this reflect on the final product:

* I’d say the main motivation, or at least what I had envisioned it to be, was to create a place that creates and transmits peace. I think the most important thing about a project like this is to create this sort of space, where people can just unplug and rest away from the stress of daily life.

2 - The obstacles your team came across throughout the process and how you chose to tackle them?
* One of the first things we noticed was the colour of the pavement. It’s not that we didn’t like it in isolation, but it wouldn’t harmonize with the furniture we had envisioned. To put it simply, such a dark pavement would contrast with the lighter furniture beyond what we would be comfortable with. So we chose to apply the microciment that solved the issue. However, in the library, we attempted something different where we applied darker furniture colours so that it could blend in with the plants outside, almost attempting to make the window mimic a painting

3 - How to combine this harmonious sentiment you wanted to create with the functionality that a space like this demands?

* We ended up segmenting the space, you know, creating a distinct eating area between the kitchen and the living room with a lounge in the middle. We did the same with the library where we implemented a reading room with glass walls so as to create this illusion that it’s the natural extension of the library. In the bottom floor, we reserved this space for a more leisurely environment with a cinema and a game room.

4 - Criteria on the durability of the materials used, its colours and textures, so as to assure both its coherence and durability?

* We always consider these questions. We mostly blend organic and resistant materials, always trying to aim for that sweet spot between aesthetics and comfort.
