The new Brainshare SaldeoSMART office was created as a deliberate strategic decision rather than a simple company relocation. The project occupies an entire floor of Unity Tower in Kraków and was designed for a team of 68 employees. It is the largest and highest-located floor of this size within the building. The project was completed in August 2025.
Unity Tower, widely known as “Szkieletor,” is one of Kraków’s most recognizable landmarks. Designed over 50 years ago as a symbol of the city’s modernist ambitions, it remained unfinished for decades. This context became the conceptual starting point for the project, which treats office space as a dialogue between history and contemporary use. At the entrance, a large-scale wall graphic featuring archival images of the building, along with a short history presented in both Polish and English, introduces this narrative.
Kraków’s local identity serves as a cohesive spatial language throughout the office. Meeting rooms and work zones are named after districts, streets and symbols of the city, while the kitchen is inspired by the atmosphere of Kazimierz and Plac Nowy. One of the most distinctive elements of the office is a fragment of a blue Nysa van, referencing the iconic late-night gathering spot under Hala Targowa — a well-known meeting point for Kraków residents.
The design responds directly to the realities of contemporary hybrid work. Instead of a single large open-plan area, the layout features smaller, clearly defined work zones and multifunctional meeting rooms. Particular attention was given to comfort, acoustics and atmosphere. The result is a workplace employees choose to return to — not out of obligation, but by preference.
