Located in Kaohsiung’s Fengshan District, Yuan Feng Jing is a dual-tower residential project formed by integrating multiple irregular urban lots. The architects employed a composition of “one square, one circle; one tall, one low; one front, one back” to transform legal and spatial limitations into a pair of white sculptural volumes engaged in dialogue.
Tower A is rational and square; Tower B is soft and oval. Together, they compose an urban rhythm where sun and moon alternate. Rather than maximizing density, the design embraces strategic openness and shared space in response to the cultural setting of Weiwuying Park. Through flipped floor plans, a double façade, deep balconies, and generous green space, the project elevates both living quality and architectural aesthetics. It also overcame challenges such as parking on a curved lot and reorienting residential views—becoming a model for environmental responsiveness and community vitality in modern Taiwanese housing.
