This project transforms a raw shell into a residence for a pilot couple. Inspired by their shared life experiences, the concept of “Concrete Flight Path” translates years of flying and global transit into spatial language. The design shifts the home’s focus from the living room to the dining table, making interaction the core of daily life. The original three-bedroom layout is reduced to two, creating a more open communal space where circulation flows like flight routes. Collections, cooking, and coffee culture are integrated, shaping a living environment grounded in daily life yet infused with memories of flight.
Upon entry, the living room is deliberately de-emphasized. Without a TV wall, the sofa can rotate freely, allowing the space to adapt to a more fluid lifestyle. Attention shifts to the dining table and coffee bar, where LEGO models extend along the wall and table edge, forming a clear visual focus.
