"A Peaceful Day Off with a Dash of Luxury"

In this renovation project, an office building in front of the Osaka Metro Nakatsu Station was converted into a hotel.
Because of the hotel's location in central Osaka and its excellent access to Kyoto, Nara, and other parts, the target demographic was families and tourists visiting the Kansai area.
We proposed a hotel concept that was particularly focused on mothers with small children and women who wanted to actively enjoy sightseeing in the Kansai area.

Our concept was "a peaceful day off with a dash of luxury."
The days we have off are parts of our everyday lives.
We wanted to create a place where people could enjoy their days off in peace.
Not an out-of-the-ordinary experience like a scene from a movie, divorced from everyday life, but a place where guests felt comfortable and in the lead, with a dash of luxury.

We designed three types of guest rooms: family rooms, spacious twin rooms, and luxurious suites. Each room was outfitted with a kitchen and washing machine, creating a stress-free environment even for long-stay guests and guests traveling with small children.
We used a colorful palette, numerous plants, materials that feel great to the touch, and curved lines within linear compositions to create the backgrounds behind the hotel's target guests, producing a gentle and warm space in which they would spend their time.

Everything guests see is adorable, causing them to naturally break out in smiles.
THE GALA Hotel Umeda - a place to spend a peaceful day off with a dash of luxury.
