The FENGQI YUEMING project, located in Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, is bordered by the Dashu River to the southeast and Nanxing River to the west, thus benefiting from open vistas and rich landscape resources. The design revolves around the principle of “seeking refuge in the mountains and water, returning to a life of tranquility,” blending architectural design with the surrounding natural beauty. Through a combination of a carefully chosen, secluded site, minimalist materials, and a five-story terraced villa structure, the project creates a living space that exists between the bustling and the serene, the modern and the traditional—a perfect setting for a peaceful, self-sustaining lifestyle. From its site selection to its construction, FENGQI YUEMING adheres to the Eastern philosophy of “concealment” and “hiddenness.” It does not boldly assert its presence, but instead humbly retreats into the crevices between nature and the city. FENGQI YUEMING redefines vertical living in terraced villas with the innovative “fifth level” and achieves a perfect balance between height and comfort. The top-floor private terrace offers sweeping views of the mountains and water, while the ground-level courtyard seamlessly integrates the landscape. Staggered middle levels ensure every unit enjoys both sky and earth. This is not just a minor design innovation but a thoughtful, layered response to the concept of secluded living. The five levels of the villa strike a perfect balance—not too many, not too few—enclosing the mountains and water while offering space for a heart that seeks calm.
