This 40-year-old home required a redesign to better accommodate a growing family and changing lifestyles, as the original layout was no longer functional. Emphasizing ""functional and emotional symbiosis,"" the new design reorganized the floor plan to enhance traffic flow. It replaced heavy, traditional woodwork with features such as curved walls, a circular dining table, and floating cabinets. This blend of high functionality and aesthetic design preserves the home's emotional warmth and comfortable scale, infusing the space with a vibrant energy that fosters both comfort and livability.

Renovation transcends repair; it embodies a vision for a new lifestyle. Adhering to the principle of “no major demolition or reconstruction,” we operate within the existing structural framework. By prioritizing user behavior and natural light, we employ a scenario-driven design approach that minimizes excessive ornamentation, allowing light to take center stage.

The space features low-saturation artistic finishes, natural timber, and stone, embodying a modern minimalist design. Curved ceilings complement the rounded walls, softening the starkness of beam and column structures and creating a harmonious visual rhythm. Half-height walls and frosted glass effectively balance privacy with light, allowing illumination to flow seamlessly throughout. This layered aesthetic highlights refined elegance through the thoughtful interplay of contrasting materials, enhancing the overall sophistication of the environment.

To meet high-capacity storage requirements, the pantry is effectively concealed within the hallway, maintaining visual appeal. The open-plan layout in public areas promotes interaction while seamlessly integrating appliance functionality. The private zone features a newly added dressing room with a separate bathroom configuration for enhanced efficiency. Elevated wooden flooring optimizes space utilization, allowing for flexible sleeping arrangements.
